CONCENTRATION IDEAS?

OKAY, SO.

I'm not exactly sure what I want to do for my concentration yet. But, I am thinking of doing something with the idea of horizons.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really know what that means. It's not that I am necessarily interested in simply creating images of landscapes or the such. What draws me to the idea of a horizon is the turning point quality of it, how it's an edge into the unknown, etc. I guess I could go into phyiscal horizons, or mental-emotional horizons, whatever those are. Hmm. Not quite sure.

Similar to this, my other idea for my concentration is holes. Holes in space, in memory, in the past, in the body, in the earth, etc. It seems like there'd be more possibilities working with holes than with horizons, but I am still more drawn to the horizons idea than holes. I like the idea of holes because I think it'd be interesting to explore the emptiness, the void, that is incumbent to a hole. Which kinda fits in to the horizons (the void that lies just beyond the horizon).... But I am not sure! Rarr!

ALSO ALSO ALSO: I really like using basic lines and the different forms they take to create an image. (see summer piece) I think that maybe I could use that in my concentration? The transfiguration of line, or something?

Any ideas? I know we already went through this a bunch in class, but if someone has had a spot of inspiration since then, I'd love to hear it. Anything is appreciated.

wow, the art retreat was radical (except all of my homework that got ignored).

i'll upload crap later, just felt like doing this for now because i'm waiting for my paper to print out. la la la la.
